De FUJIFILM GFX 50S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera is een 51.4MP middenformaat systeemcamera met Fujifilm G mount, uitgerust met een sensorgrootte 1.7x groter dan een full frame sensor. De maximale resolutie is 8256 x 6192. De sensor afmeting is 43.8 x 32.9 mm.
Vanwege de sensor grootte heeft de camera een zachtere tonale- en kleurovergang, veel dynamisch bereik, meer bokeh, scherpere resultaten en een hoge resolutie. De camera beschikt ook over ingebouwde Image Stabilisation wat dus perfect is voor handheld fotografie. Deze camera heeft ook een 117-Point Contrast-Detection AF System waarmee de autofocus snel en precies is. Dit model heeft nu een klein LCD scherm op de bovenkant van de camera voor instelling bevestiging en exposure data.
Middenformaat camera's zijn hierdoor ideaal voor projecten met grote prints als doel. De camera beschikt ook over de bekende Fujifilm kleurenprofielen zoals Classic Chrome en Acros. Verder heeft de camera twee SD-kaart slots : SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-II).
De afmeting van de camera is 150 x 104 x 87mm en hij weegt 900g.
