De Sony FX9 is de nieuwe full frame cine camera van Sony. Deze 6K sensor geeft dual native ISO (800 en 4000 base iso’s), dus is zeer geschikt voor low light situaties. Het autofocus systeem op de FX9 is ongekend: enhanced fast AF. De color science is afkomstig van de Sony Venice in het profiel S Cinetone.
De sensor heeft een grootte van 35.7mm x 18.8mm en biedt 15+ stops dynamisch bereik. In full frame haalt de camera in 4K 60p (120p in HD). De camera biedt ook elektronische variabele ND intern voor optimaal gebruiksgemak.
