La RED Komodo est une caméra compacte super35 RED avec un obturateur global au format 27,03 x 14,25 mm (6144 x 3240).
La RED Komodo a 16 arrêts de plage dynamique, avec de beaux
fichiers et couleurs bruts R3D. L'appareil photo offre des options de
ralenti 6k jusqu'à 50 ips en écran large. La caméra dispose d'une
monture RF et d'un autofocus. Cela rend la caméra idéale pour une
utilisation avec un stabilisateur.
De plus, la caméra dispose d'une obturation globale. Elle n'est
donc pas tout à fait adaptée pour l'obturation ligne par ligne. Cela
rend l'appareil parfaite pour les prises de vue où des mouvements
rapides sont effectués, comme le sport.
Enfin, l'appareil photo ne pèse que 1kg et mesure 10,2 x 10,2 cm.
