Rented a camera for the first time at budgetcam the hague. I went to a bird hide early on Monday and wouldn't be home until the evening. as they are closed on sunday I could pick up the camera on Saturday and bring it back on Tuesday morning. This was calculated for the rental of a weekend, ie 1 day. Really super cool that this was possible. Nikon d500 was fine, including accessories. Reservations also went great, simply online and just pick up on the day of reservation. If I want to try out something in the field of camera and lenses before I buy it, I will definitely do this again at budgetcam!

Already rented a number of times through Budgetcam (Amsterdam and Utrecht). Always very good! Clear website, good concept, good communication and everything is immediately ready for you at the time you have indicated that you will pick up the items. If you have questions or are unsure about certain cameras / lenses / accessories, you can always call for advice. I was recently told by an employee that you can even test things at the office, so that you can figure it out completely before you start using it in practice and are faced with any blockages. I didn't know that, but super useful to know! After you have reserved the items, you will always receive a very clear email with an overview of your order and where (even with a direct Google maps route), at what time / when to pick up and return your items. You will also immediately receive an invoice in your email. There is no standard band / strap with the camera, but when I asked for it, I could just borrow it for free. Money-saving tip: If you rent gear for a Saturday or the day before they are closed (public holiday, for example) then your rented gear is free on the Sunday / public holiday and you return it the Monday / day after before 11:00 am. This way you rent the things for two days, but you only pay for one day. In short, a favorite of mine and definitely recommended!

Rented equipment through budgetcam many times, and never disappointed! The staff has knowledge of the equipment and can always give advice and / or instructions. In addition, when a product is not in stock, you will always receive an email in which they can offer alternative products. To top it all off, they even send a kourier out to deliver a softbox that is not in stock. Top company!

I needed a good video camera to record a friends' wedding. I was at the right place for this at Budgetcam. I was kindly answered and in case of contact by telephone, my details were immediately available. Due to Ascension Day I could pick up the camera a day earlier at no extra cost, nice to test things at my leisure. In short, Budgetcam is a pleasant rental company. highly recommended.

The camera was not reset 'good enough'. I am unable to use automatic focusing with the Nikon d750. Apparently the focus was moved from the shutter release to the AE-L / AF-L button. I was not told this in advance, unfortunately .. Regarding the rented lamp set (Raylight 3 lichtstet) I found it a pity that the rotary knob that determines the heat of the light differed considerably per lamp. I used all three bulbs and had to tweak a lot before all three bulbs had the same light temperature.

I often rent my lenses from Budgetcam and this always went well. After my last experience I have become disappointed with this company. 15 minutes before I went to pick up my equipment I was called that 1 of the lenses was not present, there was no replaceable lens and I did not receive a discount. This day I worked for a client, because I was called only 15 minutes in advance, I could not arrange anything else. I do not find this customer-friendly and I also cannot inform someone in such a short period of time.

It was the second time that I have rented a lens at budgetcam. This time I really wanted to try the Nikon 14-24 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 fl. Ordered and paid well in advance. Unfortunately I was called the Monday before the weekend that the 14-24 could not be delivered due to a repair to be carried out. Too bad, but can happen. Friday I would get the 70-200 at 11:00. Nice to receive an email that I could pick it up a day before the original rental date. Unfortunately this does not work due to work and travel time. Just when I was in the car on Friday morning to get the lens, I received a phone call that it is also not available. Defect found in the lens. Very disappointed, because I just wanted to test the new model 70-200 before the big summer vacation. To possibly exchange it for the old model. It is nice that they think along and possibly an alternative is offered. Unfortunately this photo weekend was not as hoped as it was, sucks!

This was my first experience with budgetcam, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and the fast handling. I needed the camera for a photo shoot, and I think I will use your services more often. About the camera (Nikon Z6): my first 'mirrorless', fantastic camera, easy to operate if you have worked with a Nikon D-SLR before, and the photos are great!
