The SmallRig Sony A7 V / A7R V cage is a lightweight aluminum cage specifically designed for the Sony A7 IV, A7S III, A1, and A7 V series cameras. The cage fits tightly around the camera body and is securely mounted using a 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom combined with an additional side lock to prevent twisting during handheld operation or rigging.
The cage combines robust protection with full access to all essential camera functions, allowing buttons, ports, battery compartments, and memory card slots to remain fully accessible during shooting.
For expansion, the cage features multiple mounting options, including 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes with ARRI locating points, an integrated cold shoe mount, NATO rail connections, and various mounting points for accessories such as top handles, monitor mounts, microphones, or follow focus systems.
An integrated Arca-type quick release plate on the bottom allows direct compatibility with various tripod heads and DJI RS-series gimbals without additional adapters. Its compact design keeps the setup lightweight and flexible for handheld, tripod, or gimbal use.
