The Laowa 12mm t/2.9 ZERO-D is an impressive wide-angle cinelens designed for the Arri PL mount. Despite its generous 122-degree field of view, this lens exhibits virtually no distortion, making it exceptionally well-suited for high-quality film productions. Additionally, it is exceptionally portable due to its compact design, measuring only 87mm in length and weighing 675 grams.

What truly sets the Laowa 12mm apart is its near-zero distortion, hence the name 'ZERO-D' for Zero Distortion. This lens also enables you to focus very closely, with focusing possible from as close as approximately 18 cm (measured from the sensor). With a t-stop of 2.9, you can create unique shots with beautiful bokeh effects.

Furthermore, the lens features 0.8 mod gears on both the aperture ring and the focus ring, allowing you to use a follow-focus system. The focus ring has a rotation range of 270 degrees, enabling very smooth focus adjustments.

The 12mm lens comes with a 114mm step-up ring, allowing you to use a matte box to keep unwanted sunrays and lens flares at bay. Even with a matte box installed, your video recordings will remain free from vignetting.
